How we report, review and correct
Our commitments to readers. We'll update this page as the publication grows, and note the date of any change.
Accuracy and sourcing
- Every non-sponsored story must list at least one source before it can be published.
- We prefer primary sources: official documents, data publishers and on-the-record statements.
- We do not publish invented quotes, figures, market data or events.
- Where we rely on anonymous sources, we explain why.
AI-assisted preparation
Some stories, including daily news briefs, are prepared with the help of AI tools. That work follows the same rules as everything else we publish:
- Stories are written in our own words from sources we have read, not generated from memory.
- Every name, number, date and quote is checked against the linked sources before publication. If a fact can't be confirmed, it is left out.
- News briefs cite at least one primary or well-established source, listed at the end of the story.
- We don't use AI to invent quotes, people, images of real events, or data. Illustrative images are generic and described as illustrations.
- Stories are credited to The Daily Blend Editorial. We don't attribute AI-assisted work to invented writers.
Review before publication
Every story moves through draft and review before it is published or scheduled. An editor checks claims against the listed sources, confirms labels, and reviews headlines for accuracy.
Labels
Each story is labelled News, Explainer, Guide, Analysis or Sponsored. Sponsored content is always marked and follows our sponsorship disclosure policy.
Dates
Stories show the date they were first published. If we make a substantive change, we show an “Updated” date.
Health, money and legal topics
We publish general information, not personal advice. Stories on these subjects say so and encourage readers to consult qualified professionals.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and add a correction note to the story explaining what changed. We don't silently rewrite errors.
To report an error, use the correction form and include the story link. We review every request.
Independence
Advertisers and sponsors do not influence our news coverage. Sponsored stories are produced separately and labelled clearly.
